About Ki 〰️

This is the hard bit!

Asking for help is never a sign of weakness. Knowing when you need support is a sign of self-awareness and asking is a sign of strength. You might not even know exactly what you need help with. But you don’t have to do it alone.

Family and friends can be a great support and they want to support but sometimes we need a bit more. A safe, confidential and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours with an experienced professional.

There are so many therapists to choose from and so many different forms of therapy so it can feel overwhelming. Feeling comfortable and safe with your therapist is often the most important factor so take advantage of free initial consultations to help you get a feel for the person.

As a working mum of two children, I know how difficult the pressures of the daily juggle can be and how important it is to prioritise our own mental health and wellbeing. Motherhood is challenging, undervalued and underestimated but can be a source of empowerment and strength with the right support.

You probably already know that you have the power within you to make positive changes in your life and I can help you to awaken your inner calm and confidence.

How I Work

I use an integrative style of counselling, meaning I blend different therapeutic approaches to tailor my support to your unique needs and situation. I find that this flexible approach ensures that you receive the most effective therapy, incorporating techniques from various schools of thought, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), solution focused, psychodynamic, person-centred and hypnotherapy.

If you are looking for a more relaxing experience, hypnotherapy is a very powerful yet soothing form of therapy and could be a great option.

Hypnotherapy involves accessing your subconscious mind through a state of deep relaxation and focus. Your subconscious has limitless capacity and by reprogramming your belief system, it is possible to make positive and lasting changes in your life.  In most cases, only a small number of sessions will be all that's required to achieve the results you are looking for. It is often misunderstood and under-utilised as a therapy.

I am always happy to discuss the approach that might work best for you in the initial consultation, which is free and no obligation.
