Hey, I'm Holly - thanks for being here.
Life has this way of throwing us curveballs, especially during motherhood. If you’re finding things a bit rocky right now, you’re not alone, and I'm here to help. I’m a qualified therapist with a specialist background in postpartum and maternal mental health, and I’ve also been there myself, navigating the highs, lows, and everything in between.
I work with mums experiencing postpartum depression, anxiety, or birth trauma, but also with those who feel something’s “off” but don’t have the words for it. My approach is relaxed and person-centered, focused on listening and understanding, without judgment or expectation. Together, we work through whatever’s weighing on you, finding self-compassion and kinder ways to manage the hard parts. Therapy with me is about getting real—not about being ‘perfect’ but about finding what’s right for you.
In our sessions, we’ll dig into your thoughts and feelings, peeling back the layers to better understand where you are and how you’d like to move forward. I draw on various therapeutic tools, always tailoring the work to your needs. Sometimes that means gentle guidance, and other times, we take a more active approach to help you find what actually feels helpful.
I don’t believe in a “fix-it” approach—no one-size-fits-all. Instead, I’m here to help you tune into what you truly need, without the pressure of societal expectations. Therapy might not be everyone’s cup of tea, or it might not be the right time, so I offer one-off sessions designed to meet you exactly where you are, without any long-term commitments.
We can connect online, in my therapy room in Lichfield, or even in your home if you’re in the early days of postpartum. However, you reach out, know that this is a space for self-compassion, honesty, and support, with no expectations to “do it all.”
Outside of therapy, I founded Your Mamahood to build a community that supports mums navigating the messy, real world of modern motherhood.
I also work as a facilitator and speaker, running groups and events in the West Midlands and Staffordshire, to help normalise the conversations around maternal mental health.
My Credentials:
I have nearly a decade of experience as a therapist, qualifying with an accredited Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Counselling Psychology from Keele University in 2016.
My additional training in the postpartum period and maternal mental health includes;
- Postnatal Doula Diploma (Antenatal Training International)
- Addressing Postnatal Depression as a Healthcare Professional (University of Exeter)
- Trauma Informed Perinatal Coach - Birth Trauma Certification
- Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Diploma Course
- Birth Trauma Training Programme (Make Birth Better)
I am also professionally trained in working with clients online, fully insured and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their guidance and ethical framework at all times.
